Meet the Orthodontist
 Dr. Brent L. Harris is originally from Salt Lake City, Utah. He served a mission for his Church from 1965 to 1967 in Virginia and North Carolina. He then attended Utah State University where he received his bachelor's degree in Special Education in 1970.After 2 1/2 years in the Army Medical Service Corps, Dr. Harris attended Case Western Reserve University Dental School where he graduated in the top 5% of his class and was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the honorary Dental Fraternity. Dr. Harris then completed a one-year General Dentistry Residency in the Army and served for three years at Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah, Georgia, as a general dentist. After his four years as an Army dentist, he entered the Orthodontic Residency program at OSU where he graduated with a masters degree in 1984 and began his practice in Cambridge. He has been active in the community in Boy Scouts, community theater, Rotary, and Cambridge Singers. Dr. Harris has found a great deal of satisfaction serving underprivileged people throughout the world and has traveled to the Philippines six times to provide dental care to the indigent people there. He has also been to Venezuela, Peru, India, China, and Nicaragua with Operation Smile to help treat patients with cleft lip & palate. He has been married to his wife, Janet, for 40 years. They are the parents of eight children and enjoy 20 grandchildren as often as possible. Dr. Harris enjoys woodworking, barbershop singing, and traveling.   |
